How to Change the Sportsbook Odds Format?

A guide on how to change the sportsbook odds format between different known formats.

What are the different odds format?

Our Sportsbook odds formats are designed to suit the preferences of bettors from different regions. Here’s a brief explanation of the common formats:

  1. European (Decimal): Widely used in Europe and Canada, decimal odds show the total payout per unit wagered, including the original stake. For example, odds of 2.50 mean a $10 bet would return $25 ($15 profit plus the $10 stake).

  2. American (Moneyline): Popular in the United States, these odds are expressed as positive or negative numbers. Positive numbers indicate potential profit on a $100 bet, while negative numbers show how much you need to bet to win $100.

  3. Hong Kong: Similar to decimal odds but without including the stake in the total payout. For example, odds of 1.5 mean a $10 bet would yield $15 in profit.

  4. Indonesian: Based on a multiplier system similar to American odds but expressed in decimal format for both positive and negative values.

  5. Malaysian: Similar to Indonesian odds but uses a unique convention where positive odds represent a bet multiplier, and negative odds show the stake required to win one unit.

  6. Fractional Odds Format: Fractional odds, often used in the UK and Ireland, express the profit relative to the stake as a fraction. For example, odds of 5/1 (read as "five-to-one") mean you would win 5 units of profit for every 1 unit staked, plus your original stake

Each format serves the same purpose but is tailored to different regional betting preferences. Most sportsbooks allow you to switch between these formats based on your preference.

How to Change the Odds Format?

The option to change the odds format is located at the bottom of the Sportsbook page. Simply scroll down until you find the odds format selection menu.

From there just select the format you want and it will immediately apply. There is no difference between what a format and another can pay. It is just for the display preference.
